A mirror is not the market

A mirror is one of the addresses that leads into the market. The market is the storefront, the wallet, the escrow and the order history that sit behind every one of those addresses. This page lists the doors. It does not hold the room.

That distinction matters because people often treat a dead mirror as a dead market. They are not the same thing. One address can go quiet for an hour over a hosting issue while the store keeps serving everyone who reaches it through another door. The inventory and the accounts are shared, so nothing is lost by switching.

Keep the mental model simple. The mirrors are interchangeable entrances, and the market is the single place behind all of them. When a link stops working, the problem is the entrance, not the shop.
